Something to make you happy, less stressed, and less overwhelmed.
So let’s get started.
How To Practice Self Care As A Busy Mom
You have to know with all of your heart that it’s okay to take time out for yourself.
It is not selfish and it doesn’t mean you are a bad mom.
I get it, mom guilt, is oh so real!
But, let me ask you this…
How does taking time out to make sure you’re mental health is good, your physical health is good, and your spiritual health is good, selfish?Tweet
In fact, when all 3 of them are healthy and in working order, you become a better, happier, mom.
You’re more relaxed.
You’re less stressed.
You have more energy to play with your kids.
Having a great self-care action plan, makes you a better mom, wife, coworker, sister, friend, citizen because you are able to help others and be there for others because you were able to make sure that you are the best you can be.Tweet
What triggers you?
Have you ever wondered why you behave in certain ways during certain times?
Have you ever tried to figure that out?
Or do you try to control your emotions after they already started?
Well, if you want to practice self-care as a busy mom, then you have to get to know yourself now more than ever.
I want you to take time when you feel frustrated, annoyed, or sad, sit down and really try to figure out why that is.
Why is it that your children hanging on you and wanting to play is making you annoyed?
Why is it that when you’re sad you turn to sweets for comfort?
Sit with yourself and really ask yourself what’s going on.
Is it rational that you’re feeling this way?
Or is there something else behind it?
For example, I know that when I am super tired and I had a bad night’s sleep, everyone better get out of my way!
I get easily irritated and annoyed to the point that I just want to get through the day so I can get some rest.
Sitting down and identifying what is making you feel some type of way will help you tremendously.
You will notice when you don’t eat healthy, you may feel sluggish and tired.
Or if you don’t complete your work during work hours, you may feel worried and overwhelmed.
You’ll eventually notice that there’s a pattern.
You will see that this feeling is usually caused by this trigger. You’ll be able to immediately know what to do to change your emotion.
This leads me to the next step.
